    Best Post Game Bar (BPGB)

BPGB, its all about acronyms. :)

Since most of us go out after most games for a soda or wobbly pop, and a bite to eat I thought this would be a good place to put a list of suggested (and not suggested) post game places for each field.

    1. Cox: have not found a great one, we often end up way north in West Seattle. Anyone got a good place close, and safe?
    2. Sealth HS -  Either Elliot Bay or Rocksport., both are good and pretty cheap.
    3. Bannerwood, BCC, either the Keg, or Sideout Factoria mall.
    4. ESCH the Mustard Seed (hope to get to play there again next year)
    5. Lower Woodland  -  Blue star or Muphies
    6. Bobby Morris: tons of choices on Capitol Hill.
    7. UW: The Ram in U Village.

    Not so good:

    1. Kent Memorial - The Ram . We've been there several times in the last couple years, several times they have not wanted to sit us at all. Service has been slow, and not exactly friendly.
      • Most of the team have wondered about this, as the Ram in U village is great and always happy to see a group of 8-14 ball players and fans come in, drink and eat several hundred $.
      • But The Ram in Kent, we played there saturday, showed up with 9 and 1 baby at 6:30 saturday night, they told us an hour to seat us when I came in. We offered to split up, and they gave us tables in 10 mins. We then watched to other groups of 8-10 walk in (they don't take reservations) and get sat in big tables that we should have been offered.
      • Anyone got a suggestion for another place around Kent or Russel Road? (Firecreek grill is nice, but a hike from Kent Memorial, and pricey)

Any other opinions? What other bars?

The BARAGE.  It is not near any field, however when I get home after each game it is there waiting for me.......calling to me.  The beer is cold, the service is self and the drive home is a trip up the stairs.  It is there in the morning also.......but that is another story.  Also any bar where someone else is buying......that is my favorite!

The best place down in Kent is Poppa's, great wings and usually pretty accomodating to large groups.  Large beer selection.  When we played at Wilburton or Highlands we'd usually go to the Pumphouse by Whole Foods.  We've also had real good luck at The Rock in Lynnwood on 196th.  They have a side room meant for large groups.  The Acorn is a bit fancy but a good spot on Holman Road after games at Whitman.  They'll let you bring your dogs on the patio as well.  The Blue Star on Stoneway has been a regular spot for us after Lower Woodland games, although occasionally we'll go to People's Pub further down Stoneway.  I'm sure other Diablos can chime in on this as we have an inordinate number of players who really, really like the sauce.  Present company included.

Oooh, need to correct, not People's Pub which is in Ballard, bu the Pacific Inn is local to Lower Woodland games.  And I can't believe I forgot, there is a GREAT new sports bar on 175th and Aurora across from Top Foods called Jersey's.  They LOVE your business and have always been eager to serve even 8 or 10 of us late on a weeknight (they have a late night menu).  GREAT food.  It's not too close to any field but not super fac from Lynnwood, Shoreline, Edmonds, North Seattle games.

And we used to go to Columbia City Ale House after Rainier Beach games but they are usually done with food by the time we finish.

Found a great mexican place Near Steve Cox field.

    Viva Mexico http://www.whitecenter.com/bus/VivaMexico 10601 16th SW

We went there last week after our game, GREAT margarita's, good quick service and the food was great. We will be back.

this place was great!...we were going to hit the bar in downtown White Center, but got concerned we would need our bats.

We(Dodgers) are about done with The Keg in factoria, once again poor service. Lunch for 10 on Saturday took 2 hrs. service was crap, there was nobody in the place, and plenty of staff around, but they screwed up our orders several times, and then the bils were so skrewed up we could not even figure out who paid for what. There are a ton of choices right around there, so maybe we'll try a new one next week.

P.S. Pac Inn is great, I live up the street from the place. Good atmosphere, good food, good choice of beers, from PBR to Guiness and all in betweeen. They make the best cheeseburger and fries. All at a great price.

Do you put vinegar on your fries?

You should always put vinegar (and it better be Malt Vinegar) on your chips, or fries for that matter, unless you cover them with gravy and cheese curds.

For Mt Rainier HS - head down the hill into Des Moines and check out Butler Bar & Grill or the Red Robin both good food and drinks

and good for family attending the game too.
